Why upgrade your current
eye charts?

Classic eye charts lack a logarithmic scale (LogMAR) and an inverted pyramid structure, both now required to meet health authority guidelines. These aren’t the only requirements they fail to meet.

The issue is particularly serious with children’s eye charts. Despite CE approval, many of these charts produce overly favorable results. Studies show that the figures on popular children’s charts are 78-100% too large, leading to undiagnosed vision problems until children are tested with non-figure charts like ETDRS, Landolt C, or Tumbling E. This needs correction.

The inverted pyramid design compresses rows, increasing the need for better lighting, ideally back-lighting.

ISO standard 8596 has long set the guidelines for vision testing, but compliance has been limited. It’s time to change that.

ISOeyes is the answer to these challenges.

Please note that the number of referrals is likely to increase!

Doctors and healthcare professionals should expect to identify significantly more children with vision problems when transitioning to logarithmic eye charts from ISOeyes  which use correctly sized optotypes rather than the oversized figures on other charts. Additionally, beware that the number of referrals is likely to increase as more children are experiencing notable nearsightedness due to excessive screen and smartphone use.

The new eye chart solutions
from ISOeyes

  • Fully support the logarithmic scale (LogMAR), ensuring compliance with ISO 8596 and the latest health authority guidelines. This also includes precise control of lux values and color temperature, regardless of the room’s changing lighting conditions.
  • Utilize LED lighting from 72 small prisms to provide uniform illumination across the entire panel, ensuring a fair and accurate vision test at all levels. Plus, it is extremely energy-efficient!

ISOeyes eye charts come in four sizes, with chart fronts adapted to the room’s available testing distance. Custom sizes are also available for distances other than the standard 3 and 6 meters.

Furthermore offers ISOeyes combined eye charts for children/adults so that eye charts do not have to be changed.

Alternatively, you can also buy new eye chart inserts for older eye chart boxes.
